IT Systems Support Technician

Job Duties:

  • Install new and rebuild workstations and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Help Desk Support
  • Perform data archiving
  • Assist with third party vendors in monitoring and reporting network issues
  • Repair and recover hardware or software failures
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required
  • Configure CPS, memory and disk partitions
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Associate‚Äôs Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Basic knowledge of .NET
  • Intermediate programming skills preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking and hardware
  • Ability to analyze and document IT processes
  • Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and departmental expectations
  • Results oriented while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to follow processes and directions while demonstrating a willingness to learn

Job Qualifications and Education

Able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally; inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change. Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 75 lbs.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Able to walk up stairs. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally; inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
